今週は 「おー」 という発音と ”of ” の発音について勉強します。
なぜ”of ” もいっしょに勉強するかというと，ネイティブは”of ” は「オヴ」ではなく，多くの場合あいまいに，「お」[ə] って発音するんです。
まず，動画を見てみましょう。

以上はいずれも アメリカでは口を「お」の形に開けて（あ) [ ɑ]，もしくは[ɑː] と発音します。
もちろん，アメリカでも「お」[ɔ]，[ɔː] と発音する単語もあります。
